John Locke (1632-1704) was a British philosopher who believed that all humans are “good” by nature. According to Locke, 99% of the time, we will do things that are helpful to other human beings.
Thomas Hobbes (1588 – 1679) was also a British philosopher who believed that all humans are “bad” by nature. According to Hobbes, we are selfish by nature and will always place ourselves in-front of others.
What do I think? I think human nature is too complex to be deciphered in “good” or “bad”. Follow me in this journey as I try to truly figure out who we are by nature…
